1. Greetings – Most of the Filipino are very polite and friendly. Majority of them will greet you even if they don’t know you. It is in the culture of the Filipino people to greet every Morning (Magandang Umaga), Afternoon (Magandang Hapon), and Good Evening (Magandang Gabi).
2. Street Food – You must be prepared to eat different type of food especially on the street as you can see everywhere in the Philippines there are people selling all sorts of food in the street like Balut (Embryo), Isaw, Kwek-kwek, Fishball, Squidball, Kikiam and many more…
3. Traffic – Very worse to experience when you are on the road in metro manila. Always be patient and try not to get mad to the driver. Worst time to be on the road is when it is rush hour, both in the morning and evening for weekdays.
4. Language – Don’t be afraid to talk or ask something to Filipino people as most of them can understand English. As long as you can speak English there won’t be a problem if you want to ask something to them.
5. Adventure – Of course even if the city has the worse traffic, you can still enjoy the place. There are still good places to go, they have the biggest Mall in Asia they used to call it Mall of Asia. Lots of casino and hotels even theme park and Zoo.
6. Theft – Oops! I’m just warning you, even if the people there are very friendly not all of them are good. There are still bad people who ruin the reputation of good Filipino citizen. These people are scattered all over the city. Just always be careful on who you trust. Make sure to always be alert on what is happening around you.
7. Cheap Items – I hope you are prepared to be stunned by the prices of the items that they sell around the city. It is very cheap! Just be wise on buying things because some of them are not really in good quality.
8. Business – The business in the City is very alive. Filipino people are very creative and have a bright idea on everything. Most of the things we didn’t expect to be sold you can see them there. They make business out of something which is great for the economy of one nation.
